Dish Washer
Reports To: Chef/Sous Chef
Overview
Set up and prepare Dish Area for shift. Collecting used dishes, plates, glassware, and utensils, loading washing washing machine and stacking washed items appropriately. Hand washing specific items by hand when necessary. Sweeping and mopping floors. Removing trash. Assisting in the receiving and stocking of incoming deliveries.
Responsibilities and Duties

Present proper personal hygiene. Clean body and proper, clean uniform.

Set up and prepare Dish / Kitchen area for upcoming shift.

Collect used kitchen ware from dining, bar, and kitchen areas.

Load and unload dishwashing machine.

Wash specific items by hand (e.g. large pots, pans).

Store clean dishes, glasses, and equipment appropriately.

Set up workstations before meal prep begins.

Ensure there are always enough clean dishes, glasses, and utensils at all times.

Maintain cleaning supplies stock (e.g. detergents).

Check washing machines operation and promptly report any technical / performance issues.

Remove garbage regularly.

Sanitize the kitchen area, including the floor.

Perform all closing side work including cleaning, restocking, and setting up the Dish room / Kitchen area for next shift.

All tasks completed with a friendly and team orientated attitude.

Properly clocking in and out utilizing the POS system.
Qualifications
-
Work experience as a Dishwasher or Kitchen Help.

Hands-on experience with industrial dish washing machines.

Ability to follow instructions and help with various tasks, as needed.

Time management skills.

Attention to detail and sanitation rules.

Availability to work in shifts, during weekends and evenings.

Team spirit.

Physical abilities:
Able to be on your feet for hours.
Able to lift 20 pounds to 100 pounds.
Requires the ability to bend, stoop, squat, kneel, lift and turn with bus tubs, and work quickly by moving easily through a busy environment.
